from 150.00

Taken right before, Duke Ellington suffered a significant loss of personnel: Sonny Greer, Lawrence Brown, and most importantly Johnny Hodges left to pursue other ventures, although only Sonny Greer was a permanent departee. Drummer Louie Bellson replaced Sonny Greer, and his "Skin Deep" was a hit for Duke Ellington.

William “PoPsie” Randolph was the preeminent paparazzo photographer of the New York music scene from the 1940's through the 1970's.
